2 million Reasons Why This May Be the Best Day Ever

442 Outdoor Lounge

Sound the trumpets. Pop the champagne. Release the environmentally-friendly confetti.

Because the day has finally come for an Endeavour Foundation Anniversary Prize Home to crack the magical $2 million mark!

Valued at $2.1 million, our spectacular, custom built Anniversary Prize Home in the Sunshine Coast hinterland is Endeavour’s most expensive Prize Home build ever. What better way to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Endeavour Foundation Lotteries?

And as difficult as it may be to believe, soon there’ll be one person partying even harder than us: the lucky winner of this amazing home.

And it’s easy to see why. Just imagine a picture-perfect, life amidst the rolling hills of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

So, what might a typical day look like living in this five-bedroom, Maleny masterpiece?

Let’s see, where do we begin?

6am: Rise and shine

Wake up early, rested and restored, looking like a model in a Peter Alexander shoot. Lay in your sumptuous bed for a little while, blissfully listening to birds chirping and the faint sound of cows mooing in the distance.

This is country life. Let the day begin.

6.30am: Take an early morning amble

Throw on your joggers and head off for an amble down the local country lanes, sucking in the crisp, mountain air as you go. Then, when you circle back to home, sweet home, what better way to finish your early morning workout than with a dip in the pool? Even in winter, we dare you to take the plunge. The health experts say it’s amazing for your circulation (if the hypothermia doesn’t get you first).

8am: Breakfast of champions

If you’re going to prepare a breakfast of champions, this is the place to do it.

The chef in any family will love this designer kitchen, complete with cleverly integrated appliances, including fridge and dishwasher, and two glass door drinks fridges.

It’s hard to say when the novelty of having a kitchen tap with a hand sensor will wear off? Possibly never.

But it’s what you can’t see that makes all the difference. Tucked around the corner is a huge, beautifully appointed butler’s pantry boasting loads of storage space plus two integrated dish drawers.

9am: Head to the office

If it’s a work day, take the 30 second commute to your perfectly appointed home office. Who needs a fake Zoom background when you’ve got these hinterland views?

10am: Get out and get happy

They say community is the key to happiness and here you have it in spades. If you have the day off – or even if you don’t – make the time to get out and enjoy getting to know a few locals. Pop into Maleny for some essentials, a quick chat, and a bite of lunch at your favourite indy café. Or do a mid-week dash to Montville and avoid the weekend crowds. With a local’s eyes, you’ll see Montville’s charm runs much deeper than just Devonshire teas and fudge.

3pm: Meditate on the mower

Who knew mowing the lawn could be so relaxing and rewarding? Forget the days of slogging back and forth behind your trusty old push mower. Instead, glide blissfully around your 3,000m2 yard on your new John Deere ride-on, leaving beautifully manicured grass in your wake.

Having said that, if cutting your grass really isn’t your thing, with the $10,000 in gold bullion as part of the prize, you can pay someone to ride it around for you. Easy.

5pm: Soak in the view

When magic hour rolls around, settle in on the deck with a glass of wine. Cheese plate optional. Ok, who are we kidding? It’s essential. You’re in dairy country now so you may as well embrace it.

If there’s a little chill in the air as the sun goes down, throw a couple of logs on your outdoor wood fireplace, and snuggle in, toasty and warm.

8pm: Retire to the Lounge with Ralph

When dinner is all done, and the dishes are effortlessly stashed in your dish drawers, retire to the lounge beneath your Ralph Lauren pendant light. (Ok yes, we admit it, we’re namedropping, but you try and to stop yourself from dropping that fact into the conversation when you have guests over.)

And when winter rolls around, you can light your clean, green ethanol fireplace for a cosy night in. Perfect.

Sample the perfect day in person

While the Prize Home is open for inspection, our day starts at the very civilised hour of 10am each morning, seven days a week. (At least until the lottery closes on 9 June 2022.)

So, please, say ‘Hi’, take a look around, and get a feel for what life might be like in this stunning home. Once you’ve had time to take it all in, mosey off to nose around the cute shops and cafés in Maleny village and discover the local attractions.

What are you waiting for? Start planning your perfect day out now. You’ll find address details and directions here.
