Inspired by the Swedish tradition of “fika” - a moment to slow down and enjoy - Feeka Espresso is a cozy nook near Pioneer Cottage. Known for its cinnamon rolls, vanilla buns, and exceptional coffee, it’s a favourite among locals for good reason. The staff are friendly, the service is top-notch, and the vibe is pure comfort.

What You’ll Find
Each store is independently owned, thoughtfully curated, and full of character.
If you’re after a full retail fix, Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore is just a 15–20 minute drive from Buderim. It’s the Sunshine Coast’s largest shopping centre, home to over 300 stores including Myer, David Jones, and major fashion brands.
While the relaxed township of Buderim is already an escape, if you truly want to get away from it all, you don’t have to go far. Less than a kilometre from the heart of the village, you’ll find the sanctuary of Buderim Forest Park – a 45-hectare subtropical haven tucked away on the northern side of Buderim Mountain.
This lush rainforest retreat is home to Serenity Falls, a picturesque waterfall that flows year-round and looks especially spectacular after rain. The walk to the falls is a gentle one, with two access points at Lindsay Road and Quorn Close. Wander along boardwalks and forest trails, past strangler figs and babbling creeks, and soak in the sounds of whipbirds and catbirds.
Just a short drive from the Prize Home, the Buderim Pump Track at Forestwood Drive Park is the Sunshine Coast’s newest outdoor attraction. Designed for beginner and intermediate riders, this undulating dirt track lets cyclists build momentum through body movement - no pedalling required.
It’s a fantastic space for families, kids, and anyone keen to stay active. With shaded seating, buffer planting, and plans for a future drink fountain and shade sail, it’s a community-built space that’s already a hit with locals. New pump track at Buderim now open | Sunshine Coast Council
Step back in time with the Buderim-Palmwoods Heritage Tramway Walk, a 2km trail tracing the path of the historic tramline that once connected Buderim to Palmwoods. The walk begins at the corner of Mons Road and Telco Road, with a zig-zag ramp leading into the forest.
Along the way, you’ll find interpretive signage, remnants of old sleepers, and beautifully restored stormwater channels. It’s a peaceful, shaded walk suitable for all ages — and yes, dogs on leash are welcome.
While the famous Buderim Ginger Factory now calls Yandina home, its roots run deep in Buderim. Ginger was first grown here after World War I, and by 1941, five local farmers had formed the Buderim Ginger Growers’ Co-op in a blacksmith’s shed on the hill.
Today, the factory in Yandina is a full-blown tourist destination, offering guided tours, tastings, a ginger-themed garden walk, and family-friendly attractions like the Overboard boat ride and Moreton the Ginger Train. It’s just a 25-minute drive from Buderim and well worth the trip—especially around Christmas, when the gardens sparkle with festive cheer.
Make the trip up the hill to Buderim and experience the charm of one of the Sunshine Coast’s most sought-after suburbs, and home to Endeavour Lotteries’ spectacular $3.4 Million Christmas Prize Home.
This architecturally designed home is open daily from 10am to 4pm, and it’s the perfect excuse to explore everything Buderim has to offer.
